Very soon this page will contain all the nice things people say about us. So watch out SPEEDLAB and it's work are coming here soon. First, the testimonial of a very happy twin-turbo 350Z owner.

Our customer Ernie Tellez’s SpeedLab 350-Z was featured in Import Racer Magazine’s October Issue. The Nissan 350Z comes standard with 220 horsepower at the wheels and now deliver an incredible 552 horsepower 548ft lbs torque at 15.5 psi. on 19" wheels. Brody and Chops are some of the few crews in the country who have successfully modified the 350Z and getting these kinds of results while maintaining their drivability and reliability as streetcars. Each of the 350 Z feature GReddy twin turbos with intercoolers, forged internals, fully blueprinted and balanced motors. SpeedLab also ceramic coated the exhaust manifold, turbine housing, and waste gate housing. There are many more leading edge techniques, too. John Morris, the lead technician, nicknamed Chops, who performed the transformations says, “Both Zs were good and smart builds. These particular Nissans have connecting rod issues after 400 hp that destroy the engine. The forged internals we’ve added solved that. And the Zs are scary fast.”

Pickman and Tellez both came to SpeedLab because they wanted new alternatives and innovations to meet their needs. “Brody is an expert and he contributed to the knowledge base nation wide. I am totally confident that SpeedLab is the best in the country especially when it comes to understanding the tuning aspect,” says customer Todd Pickman. When asked what drives him to push the envelope of street builds, Brody replied, “It’s the same thing that drove us all as kids to put playing cards in our bike spokes. It is just lots of fun.

Brody Hooper moved to Albuquerque in 1989 to attend University of New Mexico. When he took a summer job as a mechanic, it changed his life forever. As Brody quickly climbed the ladder and turned his summer job into a full time career he found he had an affinity for automotive performance. From 1991 to 1996 Brody was crew chief for Genisis Motorsports Formula 2000 team owned by Tom White. In 1992 Brody put together his own car for SCCA Autocross and lead the field for several years.

“ The fastest cars in town are coming out of SpeedLab. Everyone is curious as to what is going to come out next.” Customer Todd Pickman.

As an added note: Todd's car now puts down 615rwhp and 575ftlbs!
